Okay, so I have sucked at the LJ thing for the last few months, I knooooooooow. IS ANYBODY STILL OUT THERE...? School decided to eat me. I'm now missing an arm, it's all very sad.

SO! You know that Dance assessment, that massive one that I was freaking the hell out about? I GOT AN EXCELLENCE BB~! (For those of you not in NZ, that's the highest mark you CAN get :D) If you're interested, you can see a badly filmed version of the dance that I choreographed (not the one I'm in) over here. Please ignore my speaking part at the beginning, the light was shining through my piece of paper so I couldn't actually read what I was meant to be saying.

In other exciting news, I have almost passed the year even before I get to final exams, I am applying for scholarships at the moment and I AM GETTING A NEW LAPTOP \o\\o//o/ BEFORE I SCREW THIS ONE OVER, EVEN! Mum is buying this one off me and I am paying for the rest all on my own..

It's pink :3 And has a 512mb graphics card and 4gb of RAM. But. It's pink.

I sucked it up and got over the fact that my English teacher is always TERRIFYING at first when you ask her something you are meant to already know (I was away when she explained to the rest of the class), and actually went and talked to her about this assignment. And lo and behold, IT MAKES SENSE NOW! \o/

But I will have to do reading and critical research and adhsfpadfjpaodf ACTUAL WORK, WHAT IS UP WITH THAT over my holidays. Uh, if flist could kindly remind me to do that, that would be wonderful.

So, you guys remember that Dance assessment that is only worth over half of my credits for dance and if passed with Excellence will give me enough points to get into uni, providing I pass University Entrance?

I am pretty certain my choreography will get a high mark, less certain about my choreography. I am just not as good a dancer as Katherine. I'm much better at choreography (than dancing, not than her XD).

Okay, so I have this English research assignment which involves me dissecting 4 different texts(ish, movies count also) based on the same theme. The theme I am using is 'the portrayal of the ideal woman'.

The thing is, I don't read 'literature'. I enjoy my chick lit and my fanfic, and most of all, my epic fantasy novels. None of which are suitable for tearing apart in an English assignment. So, if you guys could offer me some suggestions of novels and/or non-Shakespearean plays and/or poetry that prominently feature an 'ideal' woman, that would be amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing.

So far I have:

and then if I can't find anything else,

- Penelope from The Odyssey. But I would dearly love to study something not an epic poem. Or not that particular epic poem, at least.

Whoa, so it's been a while since a proper update XD

Well, first things first, I got the job! \o/ I've been doing it for the past two or three weeks now, and I'm really enjoying it. And MONEY! I actually have some, oh my god, what is up with that?

What is less awesome is that I work the 6-10am shift and Sundays. Oooooooooooouch is about all I have to say about that -_- Especially considering that last night? Was my ball. I managed to get Saturday off, but not Sunday, so I collapsed into bed at around 1, and had to wake up at 5 and drag myself into work. That was an unpleasant experience.

BUT! THE BALL! I will post an actual recap at a later date, with picspam. Until then, I direct you over to aerithllora's (aka Caitlin) post over here. Suffice to say, it was totally awesome.

In other news, Star Trek. Wtf, self, why so obsessed? I never had any interest in it until I saw the movie and then BAM. Suddenly I'm trawling comms, watching TOS and writing fic. Which I shall upload momentarily. AND NOT EVEN PAIRING FIC. WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?

Jeez, I haven't posted in aaaaaaaaaaages (other than fic). What happened to the days where I looked for an excuse to post, huh? (Ahah, you're probably thankful that they're long gone)

So, somehow, after months and months and months of trying, I managed to get myself not one but TWO job offers. Inorite, how the hell? After actually getting one of the job, I ended up turning it down because. Well, it was a seriously crap job, I woulld have spent the first month paying off what I spent to get it. So I am currently waiting to see if the vastly superior data entry job at my mum's work gets signed off. $14.50 NZD an hour (minimum wage is $12.50) and 12 hours a week. If I get this job, it will be so unspeakably awesome I will be. Unable to speak. Basically, I'm already gauranteed the position, they just need to make sure the position is available. Fuck you, recession.

After months and months and months, I am getting back into the swing of fic writing. And I'm so glad! I forgot how awesome writing in fandom was - it's especially nice to catch up with people I haven't spoken to in months through fic. Also, ten more reviews until The Stage hits 500! I swear, the populatiry of that fic still makes me fall over sometimes. I mean. Rangiku/Byakuya, total crack, what?

I'm currently working on the latest chapter of Ozymandias. There's not much crackier than having Jiraiya and Shunsui talking about sake and beautiful ladies together. Except perhaps for Rangiku/Byakuya XD

That face. Dear god, that face. The 'XD' one? I CAN'T STOP USING IT! I go through these like, cycles, where I will abuse one particular thing to death. 'XD' ':D' '~'. I suppose I should be glad it's no longer 'lol'. I read through my old posts and cringe, sometimes.

Dear god. Dance. I am so terrified. I also have two other internals due, but those are easily ignored in the face of NINE GODDAMN CREDITS, WTFWTFWTF. THEY SHOULD NOT MAKE ASSIGNMENTS WORTH SO MUCH, ESPECIALLY NOT ASSIGNMENTS THAT REQUIRE ME TO CREATE A FREAKING THREE MINUTE DANCE.

Oh man. One of my dancers. She is a nice girl, but she doesn't appear to realise that THIS IS MY MARK HERE, AND IF SHE DOES NOT DO THIS DANCE RIGHT, I WILL FAIL. Or get marked down, at least. There is a three hours workshop tomorrow, if she doesn't pull her head in during then, I am going to have to pull it in for her. And I fucking will, too, because. Nine credits.

You know, I am getting reeeeeeeeeeally sick of being made to feel like less of a person because of the things I like.

In other news, I am nearly done with my holiday homework. On the last day of the holidays. It's so weird, I may actually be done with this before midnight tonight! Yay me!

I think I made a mental breakthrough with my dance. Problem with the music were stressing me out hardcore, but I'm pretty sure I've sorted those out now. I've been choreographing in my head like mad before I go to sleep, so when I finish up with my social studies assignment today, I've got a lot to work from and pull together and toss aside. It's been erally difficult choreographing over the holidays without being in my dance class for inspiration, though. I still think that the solo and third section are going to have to make it for me.

In other news, I got made a mod of squarewarts. I am totally nervous completely terrified that I'm going to mess up  really excited about this, and seriously freaking out about looking forward to it.

In other news, IchiHime. I ship it. When did that happen, self? Especially when I still ship IchiRuki. But I think that a lot of the close comradeships that can easily be twisted romantically (IchiRuki, SasuNaru etc), I still ship them, but I am also starting appreciate just that deep friendship, on its own, without romantic entanglements. Which leaves room for ships such as IchiHime and SasuSaku etc. to creep in when I'm not looking.
